To close out 2014 in style, Some Kind of Jam is pleased to announce an official partnership with
Spread The Glove! Spread the Glove is for those in, from and fond of Michigan. It is a movement, a call to action and a community. Love where you're from, no matter where you are and join with others like you to build community. This community is used to facilitate relationships and benefit its members, build a sense of pride, generate a positive economic impact and help people fall in "Glove" for the first time or all over again. Community focused news and a retail store are at
spreadthegloveMI.com.
As has been mentioned on here many a time, Some Kind of Jam officially got underway on the
WIDR airwaves in good ol Kalamazoo, Michigan. This meant many a fine night listening to some of the best acts Michigan had to offer at
Bell's Eccentric Cafe, the now defunct Kraftbrau, and
Papa Pete's. It also meant having some truly fantastic Michigan
acts in studio: from the hometown boys of
Greensky Bluegrass to Ann Arbor's
Ragbirds, and all the way down to New Orleans for transplant
Luke Winslow King. The Great Lakes State has always been well represented and in the blood of this show, and it's extremely exciting to be partnering up with a lifestyle website proudly flying the Michigan flag.
