While Guest DJ
Antimarc and I have been focused on
Michigan,
Chicago, and
New York, a grab bag of goodies has been piling up in the queue. About five hours to be precise. This is yet another installment of getting those sparkling gems out into the light of day. It's been far too long since some afrobeat's made an appearance on the podcast, so
Antibalas is taking care of that with a track off of their 2012 self-titled release. Also have an amazing
Mux Mool track consisting of 8-bit Nintendo sounds with just a touch of drums. You will dance to it. It can't be helped. And it all ends with a woman I'm tempted to have every episode end with, the one and only Nina Simone.
As always, if you have any requests please leave a comment below or drop a line on
Facebook or
Twitter. Also, fellow
WIDR Alumni Dirty Dub and the Mad Pacifist are both quite close to having some more Guest DJ episodes up soon, so stay tuned!
