BoomBox Returns to Kalamazoo
Alabama-based duo returns to West Michigan for first time in nearly a year
On Tuesday, July 21st, between stops at two of the summers biggest festivals, All Good in West Virginia and 10,000 Lakes in Minnesota, the two-man dance band
BoomBox will play
Papa Pete's located at 502 S. Burdick St. in downtown Kalamazoo.
BoomBox is producer/DJ Russ Randolph and singer/songwriter/guitarist Zion Rock Godchaux. This pair of dynamic artists uses their rich musical history and their vision of music and popular culture to deliver a style of music distinctly different from anything heard or seen in music today. This signature sound and show brings live music to a new, elevated level.
Playing with them is
MC Sparkplug, an Indiana-based Zouk / Trip Hop / Funk group making waves both here in Michigan, playing Peace Fest, and throughout the Midwest at festivals such as Wuhnurth and The Terrapin Hill Harvest Festival. Local DJ,
C.Roy, will spin before and in between sets as well.
The show is presented by Royal Jester Productions, a Kalamazoo-based concert booking and promotions company dedicated to revitalizing the Kalamazoo music scene.
Tickets will be $12.00 at the door, all adults ages 18 and up are welcome. Advanced $10 tickets can be reserved by emailing
