returns for its 9th year April 9-10, 2011 at Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Union, located at
! With its well-lit room, great stage for entertainment and loads of free parking, it's the ideal location for the event.
As as has been the case for the past eight years,
CHIRP will offer up an amazing selection of vinyl, CDs, posters, ‘zines, artwork, and crafts. This event is paradise for music lovers, with vendors offering everything from rock and pop to psychedelia and folk, soul and jazz to country and international, house and hip-hop to rockabilly and R&B, and even more. You can find plenty of rarities, and other stuff that’s just outright weird! There will also be tons videos, DVDs, posters, artwork, and lots of other things you don’t even know you want yet!
Also, if you've been thinking of getting rid of your collection of old vinyl they have a solution! You can donate your unwanted records to the Chicago Independent Radio Project. Free up some space and help a new community radio station in Chicago. They'll even arrange pick-ups. If you’d like to donate your vinyl to CHIRP, please email
