Great to get some requests back into the rotation! Thanks to the fine folks commenting on the Facebook page this week's playlist has appearances from old friends of the show The Twin Cats as well as a kick ass newcomer to the podcast Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears. As for this week, I couldn't be happier to share the new DeVotchKa, which continues their tradition of absolutely stellar albums. They're not moving in a new direction or anything like that, but if it ain't broke why the hell fix it? The only other note I have for this edition is the fact that the Stealin' Strings track was indeed recorded live... and kind of poorly. There's some crowd noise in there, but I kind of find it charming and hopefully it won't deter you from enjoying the song.
