The 100% improvised traveling electronic road show will pair up with GARGANTA once again Sunday, October 11th at Papa Pete's
EOTO, the live improvised electronic project of Michael Travis and Jason Hann, returns to Kalamazoo Sunday, October 11th at
Papa Pete's, located at 502 South Burdick Street.
The duo mixes the natural sounds of live drums, keyboards, vocals, bass, percussion, and guitar through a variety of programs and gadgets to create a style of music that is more likely found in a dance club than a live music theater. While some artists may spend hours pre-mixing samples and elements of music for their live show,
EOTO uses nothing pre-recorded, giving them the ability to approach each song with on-the-spot spontaneity and 100% live improvisation.
After spanning the summer festival circuit with stops at Rothbury, Wakarusa, Summer Camp and Hoxeyville, the group is hitting the road again in support of their studio EP
Fire the Lazers!!. This eleven-track journey into dubstep, electro and house music was produced with nothing planned or rehearsed, keeping with the spirit of
EOTO's live performances. The album wi
EOTOll be available on the road and by digital download in October of 2009.
Joining
EOTO once again will be Grand Rapids’
GARGANTA. The self-described Jamtronica group is taking the live electronic scene by storm playing numerous shows with Michigan's heavy hitters and sharing the stage with the likes of Lotus in recent months. They will also be running live visuals throughout the evening.
The show is presented by
Royal Jester Productions, a Kalamazoo-based graphic design and event promotions company dedicated to revitalizing the Kalamazoo music scene. Tickets are $10.00 in advance and can be reserved by emailing your name to
